After an insured event

Prepare a claim file: pension and life cover

Several institutions may be involved and each applies its own regulations or contract. This checklist establishes neither beneficiaries nor benefits; it helps identify institutions, existing records and facts already determined.

Careful immediate steps

  1. Address health, safety and support needs first with the appropriate organisations.
  2. Identify separately any employer, pension fund, OASI/DI, accident insurer, pillar 3a provider or life insurer involved.
  3. Keep certificates, regulations, nominations and correspondence in their original state; never complete or backdate them after the event.
